Lysander Preschool Newsletter

We just wanted to update you with some information from Preschool.

This week our theme is Superheroes. Our story of the week will be

Supertato. I have attached some ideas of activities you can share with

your child at home. Story read on Cbeebies attached.

This term we will also be having an emphasis on keeping your child's

teeth healthy. As part of the EYFS early years providers are asked to

support families with information about dental hygiene. We are asking

for your support with this by only providing water with your child's

snack and avoiding sugary snacks. We provide milk if the children are

able to have it each day. I have added a video of a child's first visit

to the dentist for your child to watch. If any of you attend the dentist

with your child in the next few weeks we would love to see photos of

their experience.

I have also attached a parent information leaflet.

As the summer term continues we hope to have warmer weather. Your child

will need a named sunhat which can ideally be left at Preschool for the

term. Please apply sun cream before attending Preschool. The children

spend a lot of time outside so need to be appropriately dressed for the

weather with no open toed shoes or crocs.

Some parents have been asking about any donations that can be made to

the Preschool. Some items we need for the summer term are Play Sand,

Bags of soil, Bags of Play Bark, Flour, Salt, Cream of Tartar, Anti

Bacterial Aerosol Spray and tissues as well as the usual junk modelling

and collage items. We also still have our Amazon Wishlist that items can

be purchased from. I have provided the link below.

Term Dates- We close for half term on Thursday 26th May and reopen on

Mon 6th June. We will also be closed for May Bank Holiday on Mon 2nd

May. WE finish for the summer break on Wed 20th July.
